The Ati-atihan Town of Kalibo is the heart of the Province of Aklan. It is particularly located at the center of all coastal municipalities of the province where the big Aklan River has its mouth, a place balance in its people’s way of life, a culture enriched with harmonious diversity that developed in its people’s distinct warmth and hospitality.

          Being the capital town of Aklan, it is the center of political, social, economic and religious activity. Hence, this municipality is the central point of the province’s tourism activities aside from the island of Boracay, as the prime tourist drawer of the province of Aklan. Composed of 16 barangays, Kalibo has a land area of 5,075 hectares or 50.75 square kilometers topographically situated in low-lying plain areas for agri-trade and eco-tourism development.
