Tongo Sail Inn is one of the very few beach resorts in Philippines with a typhoon safe anchorage. The anchorage accommodates over 40 ocean going motor yachts and sailing boats. It was already used by the Spaniards when they arrived to Philippines with their galleons in the 16th century. It is probable that the Spaniards were using Polynesian pilots as the word "Tongo" means "mangrove" in Polynesian.
All accommodations in the resort is in intimate family size beach cottages with the same floor plan; a light airy bedroom and a big private "comfort room" with shower. Each bedroom is furnished with a big double-bed.
When the weather gods are in a favourable mood the resort mangement arranges a beach grill party including live entertainment. These parties are not arranged on any regular schedule. It depends very much on what the weather will be.
The Resort offers an affordable beach vacation together with safe and convenient "parking" for your yacht or cruiser at our safe anchorage.
How to Get To Tongo Sail Inn
From Dumaguete airport you can take a taxi which will take you directly to Tongo Sail Inn.
Tricycle is Siaton's mode of public transportation. Tricycles from any point of Siaton can take you to Tongo Sail Inn and tricycles cost a lot cheaper than taxis.
And also, any Ceres Liner bus going South, stops in Siaton.
