During the 2004 Parade of Festivals, for example, the event was participated in by the nine barangays of the city that showcased their respective origins such as the "Samahang Batya Festival" of Barangay Alabang; "Kasaganaan sa Kinabukasan Festival" of Ayala-Alabang; "Bulaklakan Festival" of Bayanan; "Tulyahan Festival" of Poblacion; "Sambayanihan Festival" of Putatan; "Biyaya sa Bukid at Daga Festival" of Sucat; "Tumana Festival" of Tunasan; "Banyahan Festival" of Cupang and Buli. Led by their respective principals and teachers, selected students from 14 public elementary and secondary schools also competed.
