Blood Compact Site

The Blood Compact Site is where Datu Sikatuna, a native chieftain and Don Miguel Lopez de Legazpi forged a blood compact fostering friendly relations between the Philippines and Spain.

The Blood Compact was made on March 16, 1965, it is considered as the first treaty of friendship between Europe and Asia.

In the site is a sculpture made by the national artist, Napoleon Abueva, which is also a Boholano. The sculpture is composed of 5 life-sized images of men gathered around a table with Legazpi and Sikatuna making a toast.

Apart from its  historical significance, the site also offers a great view of the Bohol Sea.

The site is in Barangay Bool, Tagbilaran City.
