Bataan
Surrender Site Marker is located inside Balanga Elementary School Grounds.  The site was used as a command post by Lt. Gen. Homma at the time of Bataan’s Surrender wherein Major Gen. King and his party signed the documents for the surrender of the USAFFE forces in the Phlippines under a mango tree on April 9, 1942. Lt. Gen. Quezon Palawan
Lipuua Point, Quezon, Palawan These geological chambers have been nicknamed the ‘Cradle of Philippine Civilisation'. Archaeologists here have unearthed substantial evidence of a prehistoric civilisation on Palawan. The most celebrated excavation in Tabon Caves revealed the remains of a man who lived more than 20,000 years ago. An assortment of tools and other ancient implements have also been unearthed in close proximity to the Tabon Man. The cave is less than 100 miles south of Puerto Princesa, close to the town of Quezon. Known as the ""Cradle of Philippine Civilization,"" Tabon Caves consists of a series of chambers where anthropologists discovered the remains of crude man and his tools. Anthropological significance came to the fore with the discovery of the remains of the 22,000 year old Tabon Man in one of its interiors, along with other artifacts decades ago. The caves are located in Lipuua Point, Quezon, Palawan. About 155 kilometers south of Puerto Princesa City, the place can be reached by taking a bus or jeepney ride from the provincial capital to Quezon. It is followed by a pumpboat ride from Quezon wharf to the caves.
