Batangas is a first class province located on the southwestern part of Luzon in the CALABARZON region. Its capital is Batangas City.

This province is only a few hours away from Manila and it is one of the most popular tourist destinations near Metro Manila.

Batangas has tons of beaches and famous for its superb diving spots. Travelers can savor a slice of paradise in many coastal towns and villages. What's more, it also offers a lot of dive sites that are great for macro photography and perfect for observing marine life.

The world-famous Taal Volcano, one of the Decade Volcanoes is also located in Batangas. The volcano has a water-filled crater and sits on an island in the center of Taal Lake, which geologists believe is an ancient caldera.

Travelers can imbibe a bit of the rich history and cultural heritage of the province. They can also see the sights around the different towns, where historical landmarks, shrines, and museums display the memorabilia of many heroic sons and daughters of Batangas.

The province has many centuries-old churches and each one of them are architecturally awe-inspiring. Travel back in time at the Taal Heritage Village and marvel at the well-preserved ancestral houses dating back to Spanish colonial era.
