Guinobatan

It is a 1st class municipality in the province of Albay, Philippines.
According to the 2007 census, it has a population of 74,386 people in 14,154 households.
 
Guinobatan is the birthplace of Gen. Simeón Ola, the last Filipino general to surrender to the Americans after the Philippine-American War.

Parts of Guinobatan were hard hit by mudslides from Mayon Volcano caused by Typhoon Reming, particularly Barangay Maipon, in November 30, 2006.
