Banisilan

a third-class municipality in Cotabato Province, got its name form a fresh water shell called Banisil which are then abundant in the area.
It has a total land area of 57,722 hectares and a population of 35,539 as of 2000.  With even distribution of rain all year round, Banisilan has been popular as an agricultural town producing corn, palay, rubber sugar cane, and fruit trees.
