It is home to various species of flora and fauna such as unusual mossy plants, orchids, brown deer, lizards, cloud rats, and the Philippine monkey-eating Eagle. Last year, Mt. Kitanglad, whose summit has bunkhouses with electricity, was declared an ASEAN Heritage Park last year.
