It is a 2nd class municipality in the province of Palawan, Philippines.
It lies in a vast plain between the Sulu Sea and the mountains. It is located 69 kilometers south of Puerto Princesa City. According to the 2000 census, it has a population of 25,540 people in 5,236 households.
Aborlan was established in 1910 and was made a regular municipality in 1951. It is the only town in the province with an agricultural college, now called the Western Philippines University.
