Uyugan

Uyugan is part of the municipalities that comprises Batanes. It has an oceanic to sub-tropical climate and one of the richest fishing grounds in all of mainland Batanes.

Uyugan's economy is predominantly food production and fishing. Uyugan was a major producer of beef cattle and garlic.

Long before the arrival of the Spaniards, crop raising is already the leading source of livelihood in Uyugan.
