Carmen (Cotabato Province)

This first-class municipality is known for its rich mineral deposits such as sand and gravel, which are considered good sources for quarrying.
It is also known for its abundant limestone stockpile.  According to the 2000 national census, Carmen has a population of 45,909 people in 9,395 households. Of the total population, 36.54 percent spoke Maguindanao followed by Ilonggo (24.49%) and Cebuano (21.42%).
