Datu Odin Sinsuat is a 2nd class municipality in Maguindanao. It is considered as Maguindanao's capital town. It has an estimated population of 71,569 people living in 13,270 households as of the year 2000.
The municipality was once part of Shariff Kabunsuan, a province named after an Arab-Malay Islamic preacher who established Islam in Mindanao.
