The Cebu Taoist Temple is located in Beverly Hills, Cebu City.
The temple is made for the devotees of Taoism in Cebu to preserve the teachings of Lao-Tse, the 600 B.C. Chinese philosopher. With an elevation of 300 meters above sea level, the temple is a towering attraction accessible by three separate winding routes. Every day, people climb its 99 steps to light joss sticks and have their fortune read.
If you plan to visit the temple, there are some guide books and travel agencies that offer trips to the temple or as a side-trip in a tour around Cebu City.
When you get there, you'll notice that the entrance to the temple is a replica of the Great Wall of China. The temple includes a chapel, a library, a souvenir shop and a wishing well inside. The spacious balcony offer a scenic view of the downtown Cebu. Also noteworthy is the giant dragon statue.
