Japanese Cemetery

What now looks like an old barren cemetery is actually of historical significance. The Japanese Cemetery in Tacunan, Tugbok, Davao City contains the dead bodies of soldiers who died during the war between Japanese colonizers and the combined forces of American and Filipino troops.

Today, the cemetery has also become a burial ground for deceased locals.

The Japanese Cemetery is located in Tacunan, Tugbok, Davao City and is a few minutes from Mintal. Mintal is around 20 to 40 minutes away from the Davao city proper depending on traffic. From Mintal, motorcycle transport to the cemetery is readily available.
