Pamulogan Hill

Pamulogan is the oldest center of pilgrimage activity in Central Iloilo. The first cross was planted by the Spaniards in the hill way back in 1732. the cross of Pamulogan stand six meters from the ground and is made from molave. Locals believe that the Babaylans or ancient priests scratched the surface of the wooden cross and used it for healing.

Pilgrims from neighboring towns congest the town of Cabatuan to pay homage to this religious shrine every Lenten season. The journey to Pamulogan Hill follows the stations of Jesus' sufferings in Mt. Calvary. The journey to Pamulogan Hill starts at Pamulogan Village and ends at the peak of the hill. The hill overlooks the church of Cabatuan and Romanesque cemetery.
